Job summary

Wood Recruitment is assisting a long-established client in Western Australia with an immediate-start five-week shutdown project for Boilermakers, Welders, Riggers and Mechanical Fitters. You will join a skilled shutdown team on heavy industrial maintenance through a busy period.

You will perform gearbox installations, pulley changes, mechanical maintenance, rigging and welding, while upholding safety and teamwork. Ongoing work may arise for reliable performers.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant High Risk Work Licence.
• Experience working on gearboxes, pulleys, conveyors or heavy industrial equipment.
• Current White Card.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Availability for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out gearbox installation, maintenance and repairs.
• Removing and installing pulleys.
• Performing mechanical maintenance and shutdown work.
• Completing rigging and lifting operations.
• Undertaking general fabrication and welding duties.
• Working safely and collaboratively within the shutdown team.

If you have shutdown experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, this role offers a variety of hands-on work across gearbox installations, pulley replacements, mechanical maintenance and fabrication.
