Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for ongoing shutdown maintenance across multiple mine sites in Queensland. You will perform planned and breakdown maintenance, service CHPP equipment, and assist with rigging and heavy equipment handling while adhering to strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Mechanical Fitter with CHPP maintenance experience.
• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical.
• Gas Monitor, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, and Permit Cluster certificates.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance across fixed plant assets.
• Execute shutdown maintenance, repairs and servicing of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and repair CHPP (Wash Plant) and fixed plant equipment.
• Support maintenance activities across mine sites and assist with rigging.

What You Will Be Doing

• Carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance across fixed plant assets
• Performing shutdown maintenance, repairs and servicing of mechanical equipment
• Maintaining and repairing CHPP (Wash Plant) and fixed plant equipment
• Supporting maintenance activities across various mine sites
• Assisting with rigging and equipment handling as required
• Working safely and effectively as part of a team in a mining environment

What You Will Need

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Current Standard 11
• Current Coal Board Medical
• Demonstrated experience in CHPP (Wash Plant) maintenance
• Gas Monitor Training Certificate
