Brooks Hire in Kalgoorlie is seeking a motivated Trades Assistant/Yard Hand to join our growing team. You will detail and clean earthmoving equipment, assist tradesmen, and help maintain a safe, tidy workshop in a busy mining and civil environment.

Ideal applicants will have a valid driver's license, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to pass a medical including a drug and alcohol test. Weekend work and flexible hours may be required.

Competenze

• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to occasionally work weekends and flexible hours.
• Previous detailing experience preferred but not essential.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Must pass a medical including a drug and alcohol test.
• Strong organisational skills for efficient work.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.

Position

Trades Assistant/Yard Hand

Location: Kalgoorlie. Only residents to Kalgoorlie will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Detail and clean earthmoving equipment to meet required standards within tight schedules




• Identify and communicate any equipment issues to your supervisor




• Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order




• Assist tradesmen with various tasks as needed




• General workshop and labouring duties




• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
