Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Trade Assistant to provide hands-on support in the Refurbishment area. You will assist with component handling, cleaning, preparation, assembly support and general workshop tasks to help meet customer expectations.

The role involves basic admin tasks, quality control, safety, tool use, and lifting operations. Driver’s license and forklift/cran licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate II Engineering (Mechanical) or 1–2 years industry experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• High Risk Licence to Operate Forklift.
• High Risk Licence to Operate Bridge and Gantry Cranes (desirable)

Responsibilities

• The Trade Assistant will provide hands-on support across refurbishment, assisting with component handling, cleaning, preparation, assembly support and general workshop activities.
• Provide support services including basic administrative tasks and quality control techniques.
• Maintain a safe and clean workplace and use basic hand and power tools.
• Operate basic workshop equipment and lifting equipment.
• Order spare parts and lubricate mechanical equipment and components.
• Inspect work for conformity to established standards and perform basic measurement and inspection.

Responsibilities

The Trade Assistant will provide the hands-on support required across the Refurbishment area, assisting with component handling, cleaning, preparation, assembly support, and general workshop activities. This will ensure the team can continue to meet customer expectations while maintaining productivity and workflow.

Provide support services; including but not limited to:

• Basic administrative tasks
• Applying quality control techniques
• Maintaining a safe and clean work place
• Use basic hand and power tools
• Operate basic workshop equipment
• Ordering spare parts
• Lubricating mechanical equipment and components
• Operating lifting equipment
• Inspecting work for conformity to established standards
• Basic measurement and inspection
• Work in all sections within the Remanufacturing as required

Preferred

• Certificate II Engineering (Mechanical) or at least 1-2 years’ industry experience
• Current driver’s license
• High Risk License to Operate Forklift

Desirable

• High Risk Licence to Operate Bridge and Gantry Cranes
