Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Earthmoving Technician to join the Victoria Field Service team. You will diagnose complex faults in the field, commission new machines and support major customers across VIC, with opportunities to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand.

This role offers independent work, OEM training direct from Liebherr, and a collaborative team behind you as you grow technical skills and deliver premium service to customers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Experience diagnosing faults on mobile earthmoving equipment.
• Sound computer skills and modern diagnostic tools.
• Current Driver's Licence and good communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Inspect plant and equipment for conformance with standards.
• Major component change-outs and repairs.
• New machine builds and commissioning.
• Complete detailed service reports.
• Build strong relationships with customers onsite.
• Work safely while delivering premium service.
• Pursue OEM training to develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the face of Liebherr in the field, providing exceptional support to our customers while maintaining our reputation for quality.

• Diagnosing complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Inspect plant and equipment for conformity with established standards
• Major component change-outs and repairs
• New machine builds and commissioning
• Completing detailed service reports
• Building strong relationships with customers onsite
• Working safely while delivering premium customer service
• Continuing to develop your technical skills through ongoing OEM training

About You

• Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on mobile earthmoving equipment (Liebherr experience highly regarded)
• Sound computer skills
• Current Driver's Licence
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexibility to travel, work overtime, and be on-call when required
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for quality workmanship
