Job summary

Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory, part of the SunPork Group, is seeking a Maintenance team member to support production in a fast-paced pork processing facility in Kingaroy, QLD. The role involves 12-hour rosters and urgent repairs to keep production running with emphasis on safety, quality, and team collaboration.

The position offers a salary circa $108,000–$113,000 plus superannuation, and opportunities for staff discounts, wellbeing benefits, and development within a growing Australian pork

Qualifications

• Class C unrestricted driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machinery and equipment in the production facility.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks on schedule and to a high standard.
• Ensure clear handover of work between maintenance and production teams.

Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory is an export meat processing facility, based in the South Burnett Region and is ideally located just 2 - 3 hours’ drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. Swickers has been in operation in Kingaroy for over 50 years and today employs approximately 800 employees.

The opportunity

As a member of the Maintenance team your role will workvery closelywith the production departments on the facility. Our business aims to reliably and efficientlyprocess pigsand pork products to the highest levels of welfare, quality and customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on Safety, Quality and People.

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to act with urgency when machinery fault or breakdown occurs
• Work in a methodical manner to ensure production runs smoothly using good observation and problem‑solving methodologies
• Ability to identify and solve root causes to prevent further re‑occurrences
• Complete any preventative maintenance tasks given in a timely manner and to a high standard.
• Ensure clear handover of work performed between the maintenance team and production teams so that all safety and food quality standards are well managed.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a growing and interdependent team, working collaboratively with other departments
• Knowledge of WH&S practices and legislation

Swickers has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team. As a key member you will have:

• Class C (unrestricted) drivers licence
• Must be able work shift work and 12‑hour rosters. In addition, there may also be occasions where after‑hours work is required to repair breakdowns.
• This role is paid on wages (hourly rate) at an average of 48 hours per week. Salary range, circa $108,000 - $113,000 plus superannuation per annum.
