Job summary

Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory, part of the SunPork Group, is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to coordinate and implement quality systems across the site.

You will conduct audits, monitor HACCP and allergen controls, oversee sampling schedules and verification activities, and support regulatory and customer standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QA role including monitoring and audits.
• Experience in food manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of HACCP and quality systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of Meat Industry Legislation and QA principles including HACCP, allergen management, BRC, and Australian Standards.
• Carry out monitoring duties as per rotating roster in EBR, EPR, Loadout and Distribution.
• Oversee internal audits, bag audits and GMP audits as requested.
• Oversee testing and sampling schedules including ESAM, swabbing, shelf life and verification logs.
• Oversee verification activities and corrective/preventive actions from findings.
• Oversee verification at Critical and Quality Control points per HACCP.

Job description

As a member of the Quality Assurance team your role will be to coordinate and / or conduct the day-to-day implementation of quality systems in your areas of responsibility, ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are met and where possible exceeded

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a sound understanding of the Meat Industry Legislation and principles of Quality Assurance including HACCP, allergen management , BRC requirements, Woolworths and Coles requirements, Australian Standards and Approved Arrangement Guidelines;


• Carry out monitoring duties according to the rotating roster issued by QSM, in EBR, EPR, Loadout and Distribution, sweep duties/ surrounds, and other duties as directed by QS Manager.


• Oversee the conduct of internal audits, bag audits, GMP audits as requested, instructed or needed;


• Oversee /conduct testing and sampling schedules, ensuring that they are adhered to, including but not limited to ESAM, surface and personal swabbing, shelf life, verification loggers, etc.


• Oversee /conduct verification activities as scheduled and/or as directed by QS Manager, including but not limited to internal audits (auditing processes against company procedures and against customer and regulatory standards), foreign objects audits, GMP audits, verification of corrective and preventative actions from previous findings (for e.g. ATM audit findings, weekly meeting findings, QA monitoring findings).

Oversee /conduct verification activities on the site’s Critical and Quality Control points, as per HACCP principles.
