Job summary

Sydney Zoo seeks a Trade Manager to drive commercial growth via trade, group sales and tourism partnerships. You will oversee reservations, group bookings and visitor planning, coordinating with Group Sales, Operations and Visitor Experience teams to deliver seamless group experiences and manage trade partnerships.

The role requires strong leadership, pricing, forecasting and relationship management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and revenue outcomes for Sydney Zoo.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in tourism, reservations, trade sales, group operations or related commercial roles.
• Demonstrated experience across multiple business units and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of inbound tourism, group travel and trade distribution channels.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and pricing/forecasting responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
• Experience with reservations, ticketing or booking systems.
• Proficient with CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
• Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities.
• Paid Working with Children's Check.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial growth through trade, group sales and tourism partnerships.
• Oversee reservations, group bookings and visitor planning functions.
• Coordinate with Group Sales, Operations and Visitor Experience teams for seamless delivery of group experiences.
• Manage trade partnerships, inbound tourism programs and corporate visitation.
• Lead pricing oversight, forecasting and revenue management.
• Handle reactive sales enquiries such as groups visits and event inquiries.
