Job summary

Service Stream is recruiting casual Trade Assistants for our Energy division, with experience in burners, boilers and balance of plant in coal-fired power stations. Open to applicants from Queensland and New South Wales, reporting to the Operations team and working at sites in QLD/NSW.

You will execute work packages, work with fitters, welders and Boilermakers, participate in toolbox talks, maintain a tidy workspace and provide progress updates to Leading Hands and Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Construction Induction Card holders preferred.
• High Risk Work Licence LF/WP preferred.
• Working at heights and confined space certificates valid within 2 years.
• Gas Test Atmospheres validity and compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Service Stream’s Energy division are currently looking to build our candidate pool of experienced Trade Assistants who have experience in burners, boilers, balance of plant and magaldi in coal fired power stations. With newly awarded contracts, we are looking to strengthen our capability and are open to applicants from both Queensland and New South Wales.

Nature of position: Casual

Location: Queensland / New South Wales

Reporting Line: Operations

Reporting to the site-based operational team, you will be required to undertake the following tasks:

• Execution of work packages in accordance with the relevant standard
• Ability to work cohesively in a multi-disciplined team
• Previous experience working with Fitters, Boilermakers & Welders
• Participate in toolbox talks and relevant safety documentation and information
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
• Provide accurate update information to Leading Hands and Supervisors

About You

To be successful in these roles, you are an experienced Trade Assistant with a genuine concern for safety, our people and outcomes.

We are seeking individuals with demonstrated knowledge and experience with outage / turnaround or shutdowns preferably in a coal fired power station.

You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

• Construction Induction Card
• High Risk Work Licence (LF, WP) – preferred
• Working at heights certificate valid within 2 years
• Confined space certificate valid within 2 years
• Gas Test Atmospheres valid within 2 years – preferred but not essential
