Job summary

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Pressure Welder for casual roles across Queensland and New South Wales. You will report to the site-based operations team and execute welding tasks, including boiler tube repairs, in coal-fired power stations.

The position requires a genuine safety focus, experience with outages, and relevant trade qualifications. Candidates with High Risk Work Licences and working at heights/confined space certificates are preferred, with opportunities to grow as the

Qualifications

• Experience as pressure welder with strong safety focus.
• Experience with outage/turnaround or shutdowns in coal-fired power stations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute work packages in accordance with the relevant standard.
• Ensure compliance of customer hold and witness points.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety documentation.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
• Liaise with Leading Hands and Supervisors, Quality and NDT if required.
• Provide accurate update information to Supervisors.

About the Opportunity

Service Stream’s Energy division are currently looking to build our candidate pool of experienced Pressure Welders who are experienced in internal and external welding including boiler tube repairs and replacement in coal fired power stations. With newly awarded contracts, we are looking to strengthen our capability and are open to applicants from both Queensland and New South Wales.

Nature of position: Casual

Location: Queensland / New South Wales

Reporting Line: Operations

Reporting to the site-based operational team, you will be required to undertake the following tasks:

• Execution of work packages in accordance with the relevant standard
• Compliance of customer hold and witness points
• Participate in toolbox talks and relevant safety documentation and information
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
• Liaise with Leading Hands and Supervisors, Quality and NDT if required
• Provide accurate update information to Supervisors

About You

To be successful in these roles, you are an experienced Pressure Welders with a genuine concern for safety, our people and outcomes.

We are seeking individuals with demonstrated knowledge and experience with outage / turnaround or shutdowns preferably in a coal fired power station.

You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

• Australian recognised trade qualification (Cert III – Engineering)
• Construction Induction Card
• High Risk Work Licence (LF, WP) – preferred
• Weld tickets desirable but not essential
• Working at heights certificate valid within 2 years
• Confined space certificate valid within 2 years
