Job summary

Perfs Fabrication and Welding in Muswellbrook, NSW, seeks a reliable Trade Assistant to support boilermakers and welders on heavy and light fabrication, maintenance and installation projects. Working on a Monday to Friday roster, you will assist with fabrication prep, material handling, cutting, grinding and general workshop duties while upholding safety standards.

Perf's Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to join our growing team, servicing a range of fabrication projects and mine sites throughout the Hunter Valley.

We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, takes pride in their work and is keen to develop their skills within the fabrication industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous workshop, fabrication, construction or mine-site experience who enjoys hands‑on work and being part of a team.

About the Role

Working on a Monday to Friday roster, you will provide support to our boilermakers and welders across a variety of heavy and light fabrication, maintenance, repair and installation projects.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting boilermakers and welders with fabrication and maintenance work
• Preparing materials for fabrication
• Cutting, grinding, drilling and cleaning materials
• Using hand and power tools
• Moving and handling materials and equipment
• Assisting with the setup and pack‑up of work areas
• General workshop duties and housekeeping
• Assisting tradespeople with day‑to‑day tasks
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Following all workplace and mine‑site safety requirements
