Job summary

Perf's Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Rigger to join our team in the Hunter Valley. You will assist with safe lifting, moving and positioning of materials, equipment and fabricated components across mine sites and fabrication projects.

Work is Monday to Friday with opportunities for ongoing training and development in a safety-first environment alongside seasoned tradespeople. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Current High Risk Work Licence – Rigging (RB)
• Previous rigging experience
• Strong understanding of safe lifting and rigging practices
• Ability to work safely around cranes, lifting equipment and mobile plant

Join a Growing Team in the Hunter Valley

Perf's Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Rigger to join our growing team, servicing a range of fabrication, maintenance and construction projects throughout the Hunter Valley.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong commitment to safety and enjoys working as part of a team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced boilermakers and tradespeople across a variety of heavy and light fabrication projects and mine sites.

About the Role

Working on a Monday to Friday roster, you will be responsible for assisting with the safe lifting, moving and positioning of materials, equipment and fabricated components.

Your duties may include:

• Rigging and safely securing loads
• Selecting, inspecting and maintaining lifting equipment and accessories
• Assisting with crane and lifting operations
• Safely slinging and securing loads
• Assisting with the movement and positioning of fabricated steel and equipment
• Working closely with crane operators, boilermakers and other trades
• Assisting with fabrication, maintenance and installation activities when required
• Maintaining lifting equipment and reporting any defects or issues
• General workshop and site dutiesMaintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
• Following all company and mine-site safety procedures

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

• Current High Risk Work Licence – Rigging (RB)
• Previous rigging experience
• Strong understanding of safe lifting and rigging practices
• Ability to safely select and use appropriate lifting equipment and accessories
• Ability to work safely around cranes, lifting equipment and mobile plant
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
