BJL Welding & Fabrication Pty Ltd in Beresfield, near Newcastle, is seeking an experienced Workshop Boilermaker / Sheetmetal worker. You will handle general fabrication, welding, and reading engineering drawings, with work across carbon steel, stainless, and aluminium.

Join a small, hands-on team with a 9-day fortnight, regular overtime and development opportunities while delivering quality metalwork across commercial and domestic projects in the Hunter Valley.

At BJL Welding & Fabrication Pty Ltd, we provide high-quality commercial and domestic steel fabrication, metalwork and welding services throughout Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

Based in Beresfield, we undertake a diverse range of work including general metal fabrication, structural steelwork and pressure piping, working across both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Boilermaker / Sheetmetal worker to join our team. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working on different projects and takes pride in producing quality work.

The Role

You will be involved in a broad range of workshop fabrication and welding, including:

General metal fabrication and structural steelwork

Fabrication and welding of pressure piping

Working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium

MIG, TIG and MMA welding

Cutting, fitting, measuring and assembling fabricated components

Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings

Working to project specifications, tolerances and quality requirements

General workshop duties and equipment maintenance

Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has proven experience in fabrication and welding

Is trade qualified as a Boilermaker / Sheetmetal worker or has equivalent experience

Can confidently read and interpret workshop/Site and engineering drawings

Has experience working with a range of metals and welding processes

Has pressure piping experience (not essential)

Site work opportunities available for those interested (not essential)

Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail

Can work independently and as part of a small team

Has a strong work ethic and reliable attitude

Is committed to workplace health and safety
