Job summary

ModnPods on the Gold Coast is hiring Trade Assistants to help manufacture and deliver high-quality modular solutions. You’ll work in a clean, organised factory with a collaborative team, contributing to a range of modular projects across Australia.

You’ll assist with assembly, material handling and quality checks, supporting continuous improvement while maintaining safety and efficiency in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction or similar environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints or schematics.
• Clear communicator and collaborative team member.
• Deadline-oriented with good time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist assembly of components and pre-fabrication of materials.
• Receive, unload and organise incoming materials.
• Distribute materials to workstations and production areas.
• Participate in quality checks to ensure standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery as directed.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for Trade Assistants to join our team at our Gold Coast manufacturing facility.

About the role

As a Trade Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping manufacture and deliver high-quality modular solutions.

You’ll enjoy the stability of continuous work in one location, Monday to Friday, while contributing to a diverse range of modular projects across Australia. Our products range from low and mid-rise dwellings, staff accommodation, build-to-rent projects, tourism and leisure parks, motels, hotels and aged care developments.

We offer all this in a clean, organised, newly built manufacturing environment while working alongside an experienced, down-to-earth team. Day to Day

• Assist with assembly of components and pre-fabrication of materials
• Receive, unload, and organise incoming materials and supplies
• Distribute materials to appropriate workstations and production areas
• Participate in quality control checks to ensure products meet standards
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment as directed
• Work collaboratively with tradespeople, supervisors and team members, while contributing ideas for continuous improvement

About you

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction or similar environment, with modular experience being ideal
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools and machinery used in manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics, and follow instructions accurately
• Clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal
• Deadline/target orientated approach to production timelines and schedules
• Strong attention to detail, good time management, and a positive, proactive attitude
• Reliable, safety-focused and ready to contribute as part of a busy team
