Mid-Western Regional Council is seeking a Town Planner to assess Development Applications and provide professional land-use planning advice to Council, applicants and the community. You will help guide development across the region and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

The role offers diverse, meaningful work, professional development and a supportive statutory planning team in a growing regional area.

Qualifications

• Tertiary planning qualifications or related field.
• Class C Drivers Licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to build relationships within Council and community.
• Experience providing specialist planning advice.
• Time management to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strategic thinking to develop and implement planning studies, LEPs, DCPs and codes.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and WHS training.
