Job summary

Cosmo Cranes Group Pty Ltd in Chipping Norton NSW is seeking an experienced Tower Crane Technician to join our Maintenance Team and service our fleet of tower cranes across sites.

You will demonstrate attendance of OEM courses and hold essential licences, working both independently and with a team to keep cranes safe and reliable. Training can be provided for preferred but not essential items.

Qualifications

• Electrical Licence and valid driver’s licence are required.
• Minimum 3 years in similar maintenance of heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience with tower cranes or similar machinery is advantageous.
• Must be able to work in a team and independently; leadership desirable.
• High Risk Work Licence DG and RB preferred.
• Height safety training and heights rescue certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel interstate and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Attend to breakdowns for a range of tower crane brands.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot faults on hammerhead, luffing and flat-top cranes.
• Program PLCs in the field and offsite; connect via PLC link.
• Program tower crane remote control systems.
• Read wiring diagrams and use diagnostic software.
• Inspect ropes, hooks and chains; report unsafe components.
• On-ground inspections prior to installation and post-assembly checks.
• Coordinate with crane manufacturers, suppliers and crews.
• Overtime and interstate travel when required.
