Job summary

Maranoa Regional Council is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic person to promote our region and provide high-quality visitor information. You will act as a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact for visitors and residents, sharing local insights and helping people make the most of their time in the region.

You will provide operational support to Calico Cottage, assist with coordination and administration of community facility hire and activation, and work under the Council's MOU.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors with a friendly, professional approach and provide helpful, engaging information about the region.
• Be a local tourism champion by showcasing attractions, experiences, events and hidden gems visitors won't want to miss.
• Keep brochures, displays and visitor information fresh, accurate and inviting.
• Support tourism events and promotional activities during core operating hours.
• Help create a positive and memorable visitor experience from the moment people walk through the door.
• Maintain a welcoming, well-presented facility that reflects Council and regional tourism standards.
• Share your local knowledge and enthusiasm to help visitors make the most of their time in our region.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a friendly, enthusiastic and community-minded person to play an important role in promoting our region and creating positive experiences for visitors and residents.

In this role, you will provide high-quality visitor information and tourism services, helping visitors discover local attractions, events, businesses and experiences. You'll be a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact, sharing local insights and helping people make the most of their time in the region.

You will also provide operational support to Calico Cottage, working in accordance with Council's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), while assisting with the coordination and administration of community facility hire and activation.

Details:

• Permanent, Full-time Position


• MaranoaRegional Council Certified Agreement 2023 - Stream A- Level 3 - $73,700.00 per annum


• Maranoalocality allowance $72.00 per fortnight


• Worka 9-day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.


• Access Long service leave after seven (7) years


• Fiveweeks of annual leave annually
