Job summary

Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a friendly Tourism Assistant (Casual) to deliver excellent visitor services at the Lachlan Shire Visitor Information Centre in Condobolin. You’ll help visitors discover local attractions, promote events and businesses, and ensure memorable experiences across weekends and outside of core hours when required.

You’ll play a key role in making every visitor’s experience memorable.

The primary purpose of the Tourism Assistant - Casual is to deliver a high level of customer service at the Lachlan Shire Visitor Information Centre including the provision of visitor services. The role contributes positively to the promotion of Condobolin and the Shire, showcasing local tourism offerings, products and campaigns.

This position will require working on weekends and may require working outside of core business hours.

What’s in it for you?

• Hourly rate: $38.07-$40.93 (includes 25% casual loading) the starting salary to be determined upon qualifications and experience
• Grade 5 position within Council's Salary Structure and employment is under the Local Government (State) Award.
