Job summary

Ventia is seeking an experienced ITS Project Engineer to lead the delivery of intelligent transport systems projects under our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract. You will oversee design through to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget compliance.

The role requires strong ITS, traffic signals, and street lighting knowledge, plus a proven track record in project planning, stakeholder management, and coordinating across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Control Systems Engineering.
• Experience designing, installing, operating ITS systems.
• Knowledge of traffic signals, ITS, and street lighting.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Experience with TfNSW specifications and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering delivery of ITS projects from design to completion.
• Develop, maintain, and implement project delivery plans.
• Provide engineering support for tenders and business cases.
• Manage project interfaces and coordinate stakeholders.
• Identify deliverables and maintain maintenance schedule baseline.
• Investigate and resolve project delivery issues, escalating as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and systems.
• Support on-site delivery; ITS works may involve night shifts.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, TfNSW requirements and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
