Job summary

Boyd Recruitment is seeking a dynamic Sales/Account Manager to lead timber sales in Sydney. You’ll own high-value accounts, grow revenue, and build strong relationships with merchants and builders.

This role rewards performance with uncapped commissions and a fast‑moving, autonomous environment. You’ll work directly with leadership to expand the territory, present technical product conversations, and drive commercially savvy strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in sales/account management (construction or building materials ideal).
• Timber merchant market knowledge (big advantage).
• Engineered wood product knowledge (bonus).
• Existing relationships with merchants/builders (even better).
• Confidence in technical product conversations.
• A proactive, gritty, self‑starter mindset.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and territory planning.
• A great personality — because people buy from people.

Responsibilities

• A high‑value territory with strong existing accounts.
• Growth across merchants, builders, and key decision‑makers.
• Technical product conversations where you’re the trusted expert.
• Regular account reviews, solution‑selling, and commercial strategy.
• Full ownership of your pipeline, territory, and results.
