Job summary

Pentarch Group's Superior Wood Pty Ltd unit in Mary Valley is hiring Process Operators to run timber processing machinery, grade timber, and support production. You will work on a 4-day week with early start times and be based in Imbil, Qld with occasional Melawondi site travel.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in machine operating, labouring, or manual handling in a production environment.
• Ability to travel independently to Melawond and Imbil sites.
• High-risk forklift licence is advantageous.
• Positive attitude, reliable and punctual.
• Strong commitment to safety is essential.
• Knowledge of the timber industry is favourable.
• Ability to manually handle timber products of various sizes.
• Ability to work well in a team and produce high-quality work.

• Operation and monitoring of timber processing machinery and plant.
• Timber grading, stacking, sorting, wrapping and strapping.
• Machine monitoring, fault detection and basic troubleshooting.
• Inventory handling and production support duties.
• Manual handling of timber products.

• Supporting production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Health & safety focus across all site areas.

Work at a large mill operating a variety of machinery to assist with production. Gain permanent employment on an ongoing basis with our friendly team.

About the Position

We are seekingProcess Operatorswith a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join our Mary Valley timber manufacturing operations. You will complete a range of tasks to assist in our production processes and play a key part in producing high-quality timber products. If you enjoy working across different equipment and machinery, we are interested in talking to you.

We are looking for candidates to pick up day shifts at the below time:

• 4 Day week: 5:15am – 3:15pm (Monday or Friday RDO).

This role will be based in Imbil, Qld but production needs may require working at our Melawondi site on occasion. We are offering a competitive base hourly rate of $27.08 + Super.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Operation and monitoring of timber processing machinery and plant.
• Timber grading, stacking, sorting, wrapping and strapping.
• Machine monitoring, fault detection and basic troubleshooting.
• Inventory handling and production support duties.
• Manual handling of timber products.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Supporting production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Having a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of our site.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience in machine operating, or labouring, or manual handling in a production environment is highly desirable.
• The ability to independently travel to and from both our Melawondi and Imbil work sites.
• A high-risk forklift licence is advantageous.
• A positive attitude at work, whilst being reliable and punctual.
• A strong commitment to safety is essential.
• Knowledge of the timber industry is favourable.
• The ability to manually handle various sizes of timber product.
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment and produce work to a high standard.
