Job summary

Unyte, backed by Symal, is seeking experienced HR Tilt Tray and Float Drivers to safely transport materials and machinery for civil construction projects. This hands-on role values vehicle presentation, safety compliance and teamwork with site teams.

Based out of Avlon, you will operate Tilt Tray or Floats, travel locally and interstate, ensure loads meet mass, dimension and restraint rules, and complete pre-start checks.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HR/HC/MC license relevant to the vehicle operated.
• White Card (Construction Induction) required.
• Minimum 2 years’ heavy vehicle driving experience in civil/construction.
• Willing to live away from home; able to travel interstate.
• Strong knowledge of NHVR compliance and CoR obligations.
• Experience with oversize/over mass loads.
• Reliable, safety-focused and professional approach.
• Own reliable transport to depot; VicRoads history check will be conducted.

Unyte is seekingexperienced HR Tilt Tray and Float Drivers to support our civil construction projects by safely and efficiently transporting materials, equipment and machinery to and from site. This is a hands‑on role suited to a professional driver who takes pride in vehicle presentation, safety compliance and working collaboratively with site teams. Our fleet is based out of Avlon with the opportunity to be a part of close‑knit transport team, that puts safety first. We pride ourselves on customer service and communication, if this sounds like you.

Your everyday:

• Operating either acompany Tilt Tray Vehicle or Floats safely and efficiently
• Travelling locally and interstate
• Ensure all loads comply with mass, dimension and load restraint requirements
• Complete daily pre-start checks and report defects promptly
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, presentation and professionalism always
• Support site and yard operations, including loading/unloading, labouring and team coordination

Requirements:

• Hold a valid HR / HC / MC licence relevant to the vehicle operated
• A White Card (Construction Induction)
• Minimum 2 years’ heavy vehicle driving experience in a civil or construction environment, with experience transporting machinery
• Ability to live away from home from time to time, with the occasional longer trip to FNQStrong understanding of road transport legislation, NHVR compliance and CoR obligations
• Experience with Oversize and Over mass loads
• Reliable, safety-focused and professional approach to work
• Have own reliable transport to and from the depot
• A clean driving history, a recent VicRoads traffic report will be conducted prior to commencement
