Job summary

Unyte is seeking experienced HR Tilt Tray and Float Drivers to safely transport materials and machinery on civil construction projects. You will operate Tilt Tray or Floats, travel locally and interstate, and ensure loads meet weight and restraint rules.

Daily pre-start checks and vehicle maintenance are required, with site/yard support and teamwork integral to the role. Candidates must hold a valid HR/HC/MC licence, a White Card, and have at least 2 years of heavy vehicle experience in civil

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HR/HC/MC licence suitable for the vehicle operated.
• White Card (Construction Induction) holder.
• Minimum 2 years’ heavy vehicle driving in civil/construction settings.
• Willing to live away from home for periods and longer trips.
• Solid understanding of NHVR rules and CoR obligations.
• Experience with oversize and over-mass loads.
• Reliable, safety-focused and professional approach.
• Have own reliable transport to the depot.
• Clean driving history; VicRoads report may be checked.

Responsibilities

• Operate Tilt Tray or Float vehicles safely and efficiently.

The role:

Unyte is seekingexperienced HR Tilt Tray and Float Drivers to support our civil construction projects by safely and efficiently transporting materials, equipment and machinery to and from site.

Your everyday:

• Operating either acompany Tilt Tray Vehicle or Floats safely and efficiently
• Travelling locally and interstate
• Ensure all loads comply with mass, dimension and load restraint requirements
• Complete daily pre-start checks and report defects promptly
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, presentation and professionalism always
• Support site and yard operations, including loading/unloading, labouring and team coordination

Requirements:

• Hold a valid HR / HC / MC licence relevant to the vehicle operated
• A White Card (Construction Induction)
• Minimum 2 years’ heavy vehicle driving experience in a civil or construction environment, with experience transporting machinery
• Ability to live away from home from time to time, with the occasional longer trip to FNQ
• Strong understanding of road transport legislation, NHVR compliance and CoR obligations
• Experience with Oversize and Over mass loads
• Reliable, safety-focused and professional approach to work
• Have own reliable transport to and from the depot
• A clean driving history, a recent VicRoads traffic report will be conducted prior to commencement
