Job summary

Southern Cross Care WA in Broome is seeking a qualified Therapy Assistant to join Germanus Kent House on a permanent part-time basis, 60.8 hours per fortnight (about 4 shifts per week). Located in the Broome region, the home provides nursing care, dementia support and allied health services.

You will organise activities, connect residents with interests, liaise with community groups, and work as part of a warm team, bringing compassion and patience to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or equivalent in Individual Support required.
• Experience in aged care desirable.
• Ability to build connections with residents, families and colleagues.

About the role and where you will be working:

Germanus Kent House is seeking an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our team on a permanent part time basis working 60.8 hours per fortnight, 4x days per week.

Located in the Broome, Germanus Kent House caters for 55 residents and offers a full range of services including nursing care, medication management, personal care, hospitality services and dementia support services. Residents also receive support from allied health professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Organise the activities planner and conduct activities
• Support appropriate access to the resident's current interests
• Liaise with community groups and schools to support activities
• Work as part of a team
• Show compassion & exercise patience
• Treat our residents & their family with respect

About you:

We’re looking for a passionate Therapy Assistant with a Certificate III or equivalent in Individual Support. If you have experience in aged care and a genuine interest in supporting others, we’d love to hear from you too.

You’re someone who enjoys building connections, whether it’s chatting with residents, engaging with families, or collaborating with colleagues. Teamwork comes naturally to you, and you bring warmth and positivity to every interaction.
