Job summary

Southern Cross Care WA is seeking Aged Care Support Workers to assist clients in Busselton and surrounding areas. You will drive between homes, provide personal care, meal prep and social support, while logging activities on a mobile device. A bubbly, approachable attitude and weekday availability are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 days of weekday availability with a bubbly and approachable attitude.
• Experience in aged or community care is advantageous.
• Must have a personal vehicle for work and be comfortable driving between clients’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities - personal care, medication monitoring, meal preparation, shopping and social support.
• Regularly liaise with Care Coordinators to provide updates on client care needs.
• Follow client care plans and log activities via smartphone.
• Develop trust and maintain positive rapport with clients and their families.

About The Role And Where You Will Be Working

We're looking for Aged Care Support Workers across Busselton. We are looking for candidates who have at least 3-5 days of weekday availability with a bubbly and approachable attitude.

You’ll need to be comfortable spending a fair amount of your day out on the road, driving in between clients' homes.

Your Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To

About You

You're comfortable working on your own, and more importantly, care about our clients as much as we do.

You may already have experience in aged or community care, and love what you do. Perhaps you have experience taking care of a family member / friend, and would like to start a career in home care.

Building relationships with people comes naturally, and you know that good Support Workers can make such a difference in the quality of someone's life.

To Be Considered For This Role You’ll Need

• Initiative and the ability to effectively prioritise & multi task.
• Great interpersonal & communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn & use new software for record keeping.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Advantageous to have studied Certs in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Services or equivalent
• Advantageous to have Manual Handling and/or Medication Administration certificates
• Advantageous to have NDIS Worker Screen Check
• Valid Drivers Licence & Reliable Roadworthy Vehicle
