Job summary

Family Centered Support Services in rural Queensland is hiring Casual Team Members to support Children and Young People in Residential Out-of-Home Care. You will engage with and assist youths with challenging behaviours, helping them achieve social, educational, cultural and emotional goals while overseeing daily care.

This role offers induction and TCI training, 24/7 on-call support, salary between 70,000 and 100,000 plus super, and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence (Open or P2).
• Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent.
• Willingness to undergo 8 days of mandatory paid training in Brisbane.
• Current Paid Blue Card or ability to obtain one.
• Availability for 24-hour shift work including sleepovers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support teaching life skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, homework, personal care).
• Develop and maintain support documentation (Positive Behaviour Support Plans, progress reports).
• Assess and monitor developmental progress of Young People.
• Liaise with stakeholders to plan and report outcomes.
• Create activity plans and facilitate community engagement.
• Safely support behaviours using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
