Job summary

Family Centered Support Services is hiring Team Members to support Children and Young People in Residential Out-of-Home Care at rural properties. The role focuses on a technology-reduced model of care, with duties ranging from life-skills coaching to daily care supervision.

Applicants must have a Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or progress towards it, valid driver’s license, and be available for 24-hour shift patterns and mandatory training in Brisbane before start.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document and report clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support Children and Young People with challenging behaviours.
• Teach life skills and daily routines (cooking, budgeting, schooling).
• Develop support documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Create activity plans and facilitate community engagement.
• Apply Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques.
