Job summary

Lifestyle Solutions in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Youth Support Worker to help young people in care feel safe, build trust, and pursue their futures. The role is casual and requires flexibility across shifts, including weekends and overnights.

You will provide daily care, build positive relationships, administer medications per plans, and contribute to individualised care plans. A Diploma in Youth Work or related field is required, plus a valid Australian driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Youth Work, Child & Family, or Community Services.
• Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and probity clearances.
• Empathy, resilience, and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Full availability across a range of shifts, including weekends and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Supporting young people with daily routines, care, and activities
• Building positive relationships based on trust and respect
• Creating safe, structured therapeutic environments
• Responding calmly to challenges and behavioural needs
• Working collaboratively on individualised care plans
• Mentoring young people to explore interests, hobbies and cultural activities
• Administering medication safely and following individual support plans
• Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
