Job summary

Family Centered Support Services is hiring Casual Team Members to support Children and Young People in Residential Out-of-Home Care across our rural properties. This role focuses on a technology-reduced model of care and requires engaging with young people to help them achieve social, educational, cultural and emotional goals while overseeing daily care.

The position includes comprehensive induction and TCI training, 24/7 on-call support, and opportunities for career advancement within a growing

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Open or P2).
• Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent (or actively working towards it).
• Availability for shift work (24-hour model), including weekdays, weekends, and sleepovers.
• Approved Licensed Care Service (LSC) check through the department, or ability to obtain one.
• Current Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Provide two recent professional references.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and support Children and Young People with challenging behaviours.
• Help them achieve social, educational, cultural and emotional goals.
• Oversee daily care of residents.
• Develop activity plans and facilitate community engagement.
• Create and maintain Positive Behaviour Support Plans and progress reports.
• Liaise with stakeholders to share information and plan outcomes.
