Job summary

Ramsay Health Care in Victoria seeks a Theatre Technician to support our operating theatres with precision and care. This is a permanent part-time opportunity in a busy hospital setting.

You will prep theatres, sterilise equipment, assist in procedures, maintain instruments and help transport and support theatre patients. A strong service mindset and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months technician experience in an operating theatre.
• Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Practice/Health Services Assistant or equivalent desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a diverse team and rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Prepping surgical theatres for various procedures.
• Cleaning and sterilising duties.
• Assisting in theatres as required by clinical staff.
• Maintaining surgical equipment and implements.
• Transporting and supporting theatre patients.

Our Theatre Technicians are the quiet achievers who keep our operating theatres running flawlessly, ensuring patients receive the safest, most precise care possible.

This is a permanent part-time opportunitiesand your duties in this role will include:

• Prepping surgical theatres for a variety of different procedures
• Performing cleaning and sterilising duties
• Assisting in the theatres where required by other clinical staff
• Maintaining surgical equipment and implements
• Transporting and supporting theatre patients.

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service who enjoys being part of a busy team.

You will also bring:

• A minimum of 12 monthsTechnician experience within an operating theatre
• Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Practice/Health Services Assistant or equivalent is desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a diverse team
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster will be key to this role
• Understanding of infection control and manual handling procedures
