Job summary

Delmar Private Hospital in Sydney's Northern Beaches is seeking a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our operating theatre in a Scrub/Scout role. You will work as part of a supportive theatre team, delivering high-quality patient care throughout surgical procedures.

The role involves scrubbing for procedures, preparing the theatre and sterile field, assisting surgeons, and ensuring instruments and supplies are available while upholding infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as RN or EN.
• Experience in operating theatre nursing, Scrub/Scout preferred.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Scrub/Scout during surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain operating theatre and sterile field.
• Assist surgeons and theatre team.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and supplies are available.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
• Complete clinical and theatre documentation.
• Contribute to a safe, professional theatre environment.
