Job summary

Northern Beaches Hospital, part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District, is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 - Scrub/Scout for a permanent full-time role. Qualifications

• Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
• Relevant management qualification or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated leadership of a clinical team and commitment to professional development
• Strong written and verbal communication and computer literacy across common software
• Evidence of change management experience and implementing new service delivery models

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, professional and operational leadership to the Scrub/Scout team within Perioperative Services.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care.
• Manage staffing resources and day-to-day operations.
• Support efficient theatre utilisation and patient flow.
• Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture with accountability and development.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
