Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications with at least 1 year of professional working experience as a Cook/Chef.
• Holds a trade qualification of Certificate III in Cookery or higher. Cert IV candidate will be preferred.
• Ability to focus in a pressured environment and manage the team effectively.
• Able to work independently.
• Can Do Attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all ingredients for freshness and quality at start of each shift.
• Discard substandard items and log details for reordering.
• Complete daily preparation tasks for upcoming serving period.
• Prepare meals for all courses and cook according to recipes.
• Determine correct cooking times and temperatures; adjust ovens/grills as needed.
• Store food in refrigerators.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and substitutions.
• Serve menu items in standard portions with attractive presentation.
• Follow health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
