Job summary

Independence Australia Group is seeking a Test Analyst to join our West Footscray team. You will test ERP, eCommerce, integrations and API work, ensuring quality across the enterprise applications landscape.

The role reports to the Test & Quality Analyst Lead and collaborates with Product Owners, BAs, developers and vendors. You will drive test strategy, execution, and defect management while contributing to QA process maturity and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience as a Test Analyst, QA Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC and testing best practices.
  • Experience testing ERP, eCommerce, integrations and APIs.
  • Capable of system, integration, regression and UAT testing.
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Zephyr or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on quality outcomes.
  • IT qualification or equivalent; ISTQB certification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test strategies, plans, cases and scripts.
  • Perform system, integration, regression and UAT testing.
  • Identify, document and manage defects to resolution with teams.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks and outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Support delivery through deployment readiness and validation.
  • Maintain test docs, traceability, logs and reports.

About the role

Reporting to the Test & Quality Analyst Lead, you will be responsible for testing enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and new functionality across our enterprise applications landscape.

Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders, you will help ensure technology solutions are thoroughly tested, fit for purpose, and ready for deployment.

This role offers the opportunity to work on and manage a variety of projects end-to-end across ERP, eCommerce, integration, and digital transformation initiatives while contributing to the ongoing maturity of our testing and quality assurance practices.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity based at our West Footscray office.

What you will be doing
  • Develop and execute test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage across enterprise applications.
  • Perform system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Identify, document, prioritise, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with Business Analysts, developers, and vendors.
  • Partner with stakeholders, Product Owners, and project teams to communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and outcomes.
  • Support project delivery through test planning, deployment readiness, cutover activities, and post-implementation validation.
  • Maintain high-quality testing documentation, including traceability matrices, defect logs, test reports, and supporting user documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying best-practice testing methodologies, supporting automation, and enhancing QA processes and tools.
What we are looking for

You are a detail-oriented testing professional with strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality technology solutions.

You will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Test Analyst, QA Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and testing best practices.
  • Experience testing enterprise applications, including ERP, eCommerce, integrations, and APIs.
  • Proven capability in system, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Postman, or similar.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent testing certification is desirable.
