Job summary

Independence Australia is seeking an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations in a high-volume environment. You will drive best-practice processes and ensure accurate, timely payroll services while enhancing the employee experience across a large, diverse workforce.

Qualifications

  • Deliver end-to-end payroll services in a medium to large organisation, including processing, month-end and year-end tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of time and attendance, and workforce management systems.
  • Experience with modern awards, enterprise agreements and common law.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end payroll operations in a high-volume environment.
  • Drive best-practice payroll processes and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Enhance employee experience through accurate and timely payroll and strong stakeholder relationships.

Reporting to the National Payroll Manager, you'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, helping drive best-practice payroll processes and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.   • Experience and ability to independently deliver end-to-end payroll services in a medium to large organisation ideally within the disability or community services sector including processing payroll, in addition to month-end and year-end payroll processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience using payroll, time and attendance, and workforce management systems.
  • Experience working with modern awards, enterprise agreements and common law.
  • Relevant qualifications in Payroll, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
