Job description

Melbourne CBD | Hybrid – 2 days onsite | Major System Transformation

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join a major business‑critical system replacement program on an initial 12‑month contract.

Working closely with the Program Director and wider project team, you will play a key role in testing a large‑scale platform implementation, with a particular focus on data migration, system integration and end‑to‑end business processes.

This is a hands‑on testing position suited to someone who is comfortable working across complex systems, integrations and large volumes of business‑critical data.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and executing system, integration and end‑to‑end testing


• Testing complex data migrations between legacy and new platforms


• Validating data accuracy, completeness and integrity throughout the migration


• Developing test scenarios, test cases and test plans


• Working across multiple systems and integrations to validate end‑to‑end business processes


• Identifying, documenting and managing defects through to resolution


• Working closely with business stakeholders, developers, vendors and other project team members


• Supporting test planning, estimation, reporting and risk identification


• Helping drive testing activities across the broader program


• Contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and practices

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience as a Senior Test Analyst within complex technology environments


• Hands‑on experience with data migration testing


• Strong system, integration and end‑to‑end testing experience


• Experience testing complex business processes across multiple applications and integrations


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills


• Confidence working with both technical and business stakeholders


• The ability to work proactively and independently within a large transformation program


• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Experience within billing platforms, large system replacement programs or data‑heavy transformation projects would be highly regarded.

Previous experience within the energy/utilities sector would also be beneficial but is not essential.

Exposure to Gentrack or similar billing platforms would be advantageous, as would experience with test automation.
