Job summary

Meta Recruitment is seeking a senior test analyst for a large HCM transformation project in Sydney's north‑west. This 12‑month fixed‑term contract starts ASAP and will test payroll, workforce management and integrations to a cloud platform.

You will write and execute test cases, perform end‑to‑end testing across connected systems, validate payroll outputs against awards and EA, and support business users through UAT.

Qualifications

• Senior test analyst experience on at least one HCM or payroll implementation.
• Payroll testing depth, including award and EA interpretation and pay calculation validation.
• Integration testing across complex, multi‑system environments.
• Experience working alongside business SMEs and an external implementation partner.

Job description

A large HCM transformation program in Sydney's north-west is heading into testing and needs a senior test analyst to join the test team.

This will be a 12 month fixed term contract, looking for someone to start asap.

The program is consolidating payroll, workforce management and HCM from multiple legacy systems onto a single cloud platform, with an SI partner delivering the build and a large number of downstream integrations. Configuration is well progressed, integrations are being finalised now, and testing starts in the second half of November.

This is a hands‑on role. You'll write and execute test cases, work through system integration and end‑to‑end testing across connected systems, validate payroll outputs against awards and enterprise agreements, and support business users through UAT.

What you'll bring:

• Senior test analyst experience on at least one HCM or payroll implementation
• Payroll testing depth, including award and EA interpretation and pay calculation validation
• Integration testing across complex, multi‑system environments
• Experience working alongside business SMEs and an external implementation partner

Highly regarded:

• Parallel pay run testing and reconciliation
• Workforce management testing (rostering, time and attendance)
• Experience with a tier‑one cloud HCM platform
• Some exposure to release or cutover support
• Any industry background is fine, provided the payroll experience is there.
