Abbott is seeking a driven medical sales professional to drive electrophysiology product sales in the assigned Australian territory. You will complete in-house training for EP certification and 3D mapping, and build strong relationships with hospital and clinical customers to grow market share.

The role emphasizes high-quality clinical service, product launches, and ongoing education to stay current with product knowledge and competitor activity.

The Opportunity
This position works for Electrophysiology. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Overview

This role is responsible for maximizing sales volume and market share of designated products within an assigned territory.

Core Job Responsibilities

• To achieve EP certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to attend and support EP sessions independently.
• To achieve 3D mapping certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to support 3D mapping cases independently.
• Achieve sales targets and increase market share for your assigned territory through building strong relationships and providing high quality clinical service and support.
• Develop strong relationships with key customers that will assist in growing your business and market share to achieve sales targets.
• Develop relationships with and service key customer groups, identify and utilise key customer networks.
• Actively implement and execute on sales force effectiveness initiatives to help drive business growth and sales skills development including strategic territory and account planning, customer profiles and sales training.
• Utilise available sales analysis tools to assist in territory planning.
• Utilise internal resources to assist servicing customers within your territory.
• Manage allocated consignment stock.
• Maintain accurate customer profiles.
• Maintain up to date product knowledge and actively participate in education programs.
• Assist with product marketing and launches.
• Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity.
• Attend to/comply with customer service and other administrative requirements within the required timeframe.

Minimum Education

• Tertiary qualifications in Medical (eg. Bachelor of Science) or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) or Business area is essential.

Minimum Experience and Skills

• Ability to convincingly discuss product range with customers, as well as internal and external experts
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
• Good technical / clinical/ scientific knowledge
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite
