Job summary

Bayer AG is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across South Australia. Based remotely within SA, this role blends sales, market development and agronomic engagement to deliver growth for Bayer vegetable seeds.

You will work with growers, distributors and industry partners, travel extensively in SA, and drive territory performance through strategic account management and market development activities. A relevant agronomy degree is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, business development or market development within agriculture or horticulture.
• Strong sales, negotiation and relationship-building skills to influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with sales and market share objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand customer relationships across South Australia.
• Build partnerships with growers, distributors, nurseries and industry stakeholders.
• Manage territory forecasts, account plans, sales pipelines and commercial activities.
• Travel across SA to strengthen customer relationships and support growers and partners.
• Plan and assess commercial trials and demonstrations to support market development.
• Provide agronomic support to customers to position Bayer vegetable seeds for commercial success.
• Contribute to the launch of new vegetable varieties through field engagement and product positioning.
• Gather market intelligence including customer feedback and industry trends.
• Collaborate with Sales, Market Development, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Portfolio teams to deliver strong customer experiences.
