Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across South Australia. This field-based role combines sales, market development and agronomic engagement to deliver sustainable growth for our vegetable seed portfolio.

You will work with growers, distributors and industry partners to drive territory performance, manage forecasts and run commercial trials across SA’s key regions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Horticulture or related discipline.
• Demonstrated sales, business development, market development or agronomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with sales, revenue and market share objectives.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships in SA.
• Build partnerships with growers, distributors, nurseries and other stakeholders.
• Manage territory forecasts, account plans, pipelines and commercial activities for profitable growth.
• Travel across SA to strengthen customer relationships and support growers and channel partners.
• Plan and assess commercial trials and demonstrations for market development and variety adoption.
• Provide technical and agronomic support to position Bayer seed portfolio for optimal outcomes.
• Support introduction and launch of new vegetable varieties through field engagement and education.
• Gather market intelligence on customer feedback, industry trends and competitor activity.
