Job summary

Metcash is seeking a Business Development Representative to cover South Sydney, South Coast and Southern Highlands. You will grow profitable sales, win new business and build strong customer partnerships across FMCG and foodservice categories.

This role offers ownership of a diverse territory and close collaboration with customers to uncover new markets and expand existing accounts. You will use commercial insight to identify opportunities, communicate promotional programs and manage pricing

Qualifications

• Sales experience with strong customer service.
• Experience in foodservice or convenience markets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Effective organisation, call-cycle planning and territory management.
• Ability to interpret sales data and identify growth opportunities.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted new business revenue and profitable sales growth.
• Prospect for new customers across FMCG and foodservice markets.
• Build trusted relationships with customers throughout your territory.
• Identify new categories and solutions that increase customer value.
• Communicate promotional programs and commercial opportunities.
• Manage customer contract pricing and conduct regular reviews.
• Use CRM, customer data and BI sales reports to optimise territory coverage.
• Partner with Telesales, field sales, branch, purchasing and suppliers to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
