Job summary

Yusen Logistics Group is recruiting a Tender & Procurement Manager in Horsley Park, NSW. The role provides full support for rate procurement to the Business Development team within the Freight Forwarding Division.

You will collate tariff data, prepare RFQs, and maintain pricing integrity while liaising with overseas offices and the CRM team. A diploma in logistics and 4+ years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Logistics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant commercial experience.
• Experience with CargoWise EDI or similar (highly desirable).
• CRM systems experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business Development team and gather information to handle enquiries.
• Collate, investigate, review and maintain national rate tariff data and identify gaps for competitive pricing.
• Enter data and upload tariffs and costs into QMS for ocean and air shipments.
• Prepare supporting information for RFQs and tender submissions.
• Review and update product guides for LCL/FCL shipments.
• Support tender preparation with data, pricing and results tracking.
• Assist CRM-related activities as CRM super user and update notes.
• Provide information for monthly RHQ and GHQ reporting and other required reports.
• Coordinate with overseas offices and agents as needed.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver exceptional service.

We are recruiting for aTender & Procurement Managerto join our team based in Horsley Park. The successful applicant will beresponsible for providing a full range of management and support for Rate Procurement to the Business Development team across the Freight Forwarding Division.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate effectively with Business Development team and obtain all relevant information to handle enquiries
• Collate, investigate, review and maintain national rate tariff supplier data and identify service and price gap areas between providers ensuring competitive pricing for all services
• Accurate and timely data entry and upload into QMS for:
• Ocean and air tariffs and other associated costs
• Preparation of supporting information for RFQs
• Review, maintain and update product guides for LCL/FCL shipments.
• Support the preparation of tenders with appropriate data, pricing and information and maintain results outcomes (win/loss) of submissions within applicable database.
• Support with CRM-related functional activities, as CRM super user including the updating of notes within the CRM system.
• Assist with and provide information for:
• Monthly RHQ and GHQ reporting requirements
• Additional reporting as required by the business or customer
• Liaise with and provide information and support to overseas offices and agents as required
• Build and maintain strong, professional working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver exceptional service, and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Skills, Experience, Knowledge required:

• Tertiary qualifications (e.g. Diploma level) in Logistics, International Freight Forwarding, or a relevant discipline; or the equivalent combination of education and relevant commercial experience
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant commercial experience
• CargoWise EDI or similar system experience (highly desirable)
• Demonstrated experiencing with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
• Intermediate level MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook in particular) skills
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence, negotiate and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail
