Job summary

Ravenswood School for Girls invites applications for a Teacher Librarian to join the Learning Resources Department on a temporary, full-time basis. You will inspire students as readers and researchers, while collaborating with staff to enrich learning across Years 7–12.

The role focuses on developing information literacy, curating resources, and supporting ICT tools within a vibrant school community that emphasises wellbeing and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Education or equivalent; Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship) and ALIA membership eligibility.
• Experience developing information literacy and literature programs aligned to curricula.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers to deliver inquiry-based learning across year groups.
• Willingness to work in senior and junior library spaces as needed.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to deliver inquiry, information literacy and literature programs.
• Promote ethical information use across the curriculum.
• Develop displays and activities to foster reading and literature love.
• Curate print, digital and online resources to support teaching and learning.
• Support ICT usage including ClickView and library systems.
