Job summary

All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are seeking an Assistant Materials Officer for a temporary role in the Toowoomba region. The position involves performing basic materials testing, sampling and field work, with travel across Southern Queensland as required.

Role is casual/temporary with a typical shift pattern for short-term projects. The successful candidate will assist senior staff, operate testing equipment, and adhere to safety and testing procedures within the Materials Services

Responsibilities

• Undertake basic materials classification and compliance tests and assist testing practitioners with other tests.
• Assist with sampling, equipment checking and calibration, investigations and instrumentation.
• Perform sampling and testing in accordance with the Materials Services Management Operations System.
• Use equipment, apparatus and reagents per documented procedures; ensure PPE and safety devices are used.
• Assist with field work and travel with senior staff to pavement investigations and site sampling across the region.
