Job summary

Quality People urgently requires hands-on Junior Field Technicians (Materials & Construction) for 6+ month contracts in Toowoomba and Warwick, Queensland. The role focuses on sampling and testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, bitumen, and asphalt, with travel across the region.

Ideal candidates will support testing procedures, data analysis, and site investigations while maintaining high safety standards and PPE usage. Class C license is required.

Qualifications

• Perform testing procedures under supervision and ensure adherence to standards.
• Assist investigations applying basic project management to daily tasks.
• Support data analysis and ensure timely delivery of results.
• Operate equipment safely and follow documented procedures and PPE requirements.
• Travel to regional sites for sampling and pavement investigations.

Our client URGENTLY requires hands-on Junior Field Technicians (Materials & Construction) for 6 months+ Contract roles in Toowoomba, and Warwick, Queensland.

Our client is currently seeking motivated and capable hands-on Junior Field Technicians (Materials & Construction) to join their team. These are excellent opportunities for individuals looking to build a career in infrastructure construction, specifically focusing on the sampling and testing of essential materials including soil, aggregate, concrete, bitumen, and asphalt.

Skills and experience required includes:

• Perform testing procedures under supervision, ensuring all work aligns with industry standards, specifications, and quality policies.
• Assist with investigation and research projects, applying foundational project management principles to your daily tasks.
• Support the analysis of test data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of results.
• Operate equipment, apparatus, and reagents in strict accordance with documented procedures and responsible for maintaining high safety standards, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to WHS legislation.
• Participate in site sampling and pavement investigations, travelling to various locations within the region alongside experienced technical staff.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting samples up to 25kg, shovelling, and navigating adverse terrain.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.
