Wellington Shire Council is seeking a practical Facilities Maintenance Officer to join the Facilities and Emergencies team on a temporary full-time basis in Sale, VIC. The role coordinates maintenance programs across council facilities, ensuring buildings and fixed plant are safe, well-presented and functional.

You will manage contractors, monitor essential safety measures, and contribute to longer-term maintenance planning, with an emphasis on independent work, collaboration and delivering

Formación

• Experience in building, facilities, fixed plant or equipment maintenance.
• Understanding of facilities maintenance practices, procedures and standards.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements relevant to maintenance activities.
• Swimming pool construction or maintenance experience would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate preventative, reactive and cyclic maintenance across Council facilities.
• Organise and supervise contractors undertaking maintenance works.
• Monitor the maintenance of buildings, major fixed plant and equipment.
• Assist with planning longer-term maintenance and replacement programs.
• Maintain asset information relating to fixed plant and equipment.
• Provide practical and technical advice to internal and external stakeholders on maintenance activities.
