Job summary

Early Learning Victoria in Wedderburn is seeking a passionate Centre Cook or Chef to plan and prepare nutritious rotating menus for all children, with recipes provided and dietary requirements respected.

You will be responsible for ordering food supplies, stock management and ensuring compliance with ELV Eating and Drinking: Health Nutrition and Food safety Policy, while maintaining a safe, clean kitchen.

Qualifications

• Planning and preparing nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children with dietary and cultural requirements.
• Maintaining a safe and clean kitchen in line with The Food Safety Act and ELV policy.
• Stock management and timely ordering to meet budgets.
• Keeping the Food Safety Program up to date.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and preparing nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children ensuring that dietary and cultural requirements are catered for.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment in accordance with The Food Safety Act and the ELV Health, Nutrition and Food Safety Policy.
• Maintain kitchen and equipment to ensure all is in working order.
• Responsible for the timely ordering of food supplies and stock management to meet budget requirements.
• Maintains and ensures the Food Safety Program is kept update.
