Job summary

Department of Communities and Justice NSW is seeking a Data Analyst to support service delivery through data development, analysis and reporting. You will progress national indicators and briefing executives on NSW performance relative to other jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include updating dashboards and reports, extracting and analysing data, and contributing to performance measures and governance processes to improve organisational capability.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in a social science or similar field that includes data analysis and statistics.
• Well-developed skills in analysis and reporting of corporate data.
• Experience drawing insights through data and data analysis and presenting results to the targeted audience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people within the organisation.
• Knowledge of data presentation tools such as Tableau is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Data development, analysis, interpretation and reporting to support service delivery objectives.
• Progress national indicators comparing performance across jurisdictions.
• Briefing executives on national reporting and NSW performance.
• Updating reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Undertake data extraction, analysis and reporting to inform service delivery planning and resource allocation.
• Contribute to design, development and implementation of performance measures and governance processes.
