Job summary

Pure Source Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Officer/Administrator for an established not-for-profit in Brisbane. The role is office-based and immediate temporary, reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer, delivering hands-on payroll processing and support.

You will manage end-to-end payroll, timesheets, variations under SCHADS, assist with small pay runs (8–9 staff), STP lodgements and superannuation. The position offers flexible working arrangements and potential permanency for the right

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll administration or payroll support is essential.
• Strong administrative skills and meticulous data management.
• Familiarity with SCHADS Award pay rate structures is advantageous.
• Experience supporting HR onboarding and maintaining records is beneficial.
• Good communication and ability to respond to requests promptly.
• Willingness to adapt to change in a not-for-profit environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end payroll administration and processing support.
• Collate timesheets and ensure hours are accurately recorded.
• Process payroll variations and employee changes per SCHADS rates.
• Assist with smaller pay runs (8–9 employees) and maintain accuracy.
• Support STP lodgements and superannuation preparation.
• Manage the payroll inbox and escalate important matters.
• Provide HR onboarding administrative support and record keeping.
• Resolve payroll-related queries and maintain process documentation.
