Job summary

Morgan Construction Enterprises Pty Ltd (MCE) is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based from Bullsbrook operations, the role involves working on telecommunications projects across Perth metro and regional WA.

The successful applicant will install, test, commission and maintain telecommunications equipment, report to the Project Manager and work with rigging and construction crews to meet client specifications and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Demonstrated experience in the installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunications equipment.
• Experience with telecommunications fault finding, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications equipment, systems and network principles.
• Ability to read and interpret telecommunications designs, construction plans, technical documentation and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunications equipment and systems.
• Perform telecommunications installation and commissioning works in accordance with project requirements.
• Read and interpret construction plans, telecommunications designs, work instructions, MOPs and technical documentation.
• Undertake testing, fault finding and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment and networks.
• Monitor and maintain telecommunications networks and associated equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on telecommunications equipment.
• Install, configure and maintain mobile telecommunications equipment and associated systems.
• Use telecommunications test and measuring equipment to verify system performance.
• Ensure installations, testing and commissioning meet client specifications and quality requirements.
• Prepare and maintain relevant technical, site and project documentation.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, clients, crew members and other contractors as required.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and reasonable instructions.
• Undertake other duties relevant to the position as required

About the role

Morgan Construction Enterprises Pty Ltd (MCE) is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based from our Bullsbrook operations, the position involves working on telecommunications projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area and regional Western Australia. The Telecommunications Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment and networks. The successful applicant will report directly to the Project Manager and work closely with our telecommunications rigging and construction crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards. This position involves both Perth metropolitan and regional WA projects, and applicants must be willing to travel and work away when required.

Key responsibilities

• Installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunications equipment and systems
• Perform telecommunications installation and commissioning works in accordance with project requirements
